With iconic projects gracing cities
across the U.S., Canada, Europe,
Israel, Korea, China, and Malaysia,
Mr. Libeskind, has been recognized
globally, not only for his architectural
prowess, but for his cultural and
humanitarian contributions
promoting tolerance and social
justice. He comes to Chicago in
support of the work of the Polish
American Association’s service to the
community and shares his designs at
a brunch with a lecture format.
The Chairman’s Brunch is an annual
event recognizing the achievements
of influential Polish Americans. This
year the PAA is especially proud to
host Mr. Libeskind, a Renaissance
Man born in Lodz, Poland who immigrated to the US as a teenager

and is today influencing the urban and cultural landscape of the 21st century. Chicago is home to many of his architectural influences and his connection to his birthplace make this an especially unique event.
Chicago prides itself on its
architectural heritage and its
appreciation of contemporary
architecture and Mr. Libeskind‘s work reflects his ability to evoke cultural memory, while creating beautiful contemporary buildings that are resonant, unique, inspirational and sustainable. In the words of Mr. Libeskind, “To provide meaningful architecture is not to parody history but to articulate it.”
