KOHELET FAMILY SEDER
FRIDAY APRIL 22 AT 6:00 P.M.

Join your family of choice (Kohelet!) for the first night. We will have a seder and a wonderful meal together. Everyone is welcome to share their thoughts on freedom, journeys, family, etc. We all pitch in to keep the time and cost minimal. Please RSVP as soon as possible to help us plan for the crowd.

DETAILS

RSVP: Please contact Barbara with YOUR contact information.
Cost: $5.00 per adult donation requested to cover costs.
Meal planning: Please plan on bringing a kosher-for-passover vegetarian dish to share, one per adult attending. Let us know your preferred contribution to the meal as we will try to include all the traditional food and your new inventions. After you RSVP you will receive an email with details.
Event planning: Kohelet is a very participatory congregation. We get things done by doing them ourselves. Please plan to help with either the set up or the clean up.
Seder: If you would like to share from your favorite haggadah, please bring it with you. Your thoughts on the holiday and its meaning to you are especially welcome.
Children: Please bring! One of the great things about Kohelet is that kids are encouraged to speak up and share their thoughts, feelings and talents. It would be great to have someone volunteer in advance for the four questions, but be assured that all will chime in to support him or her.
Inclusive atmosphere: Kohelet is a progressive congregation with traditional origins. You are welcome to bring non-Jewish friends with you.

A TOUR OF PROVERBS/MISHLEI WITH NEIEL

Proverbs 14

In the mouth of a fool is a rod haughtiness,
But the lips of the wise protect them.
A simple person believes anything;
But a clever person ponder his course.
Patience results in much understanding;
Impatience gets folly as its portion.
A calm disposition gives bodily health;
Passion is rot to the bones.
What brightens the eye gladdens the heart;
Good news puts fat on the bones.

PLEASE BE MORE CAREFUL!

Twice last week the door was left unlocked. If you are the last one to leave the building, please lock the door behind you.

JFS WEINBERG FOOD PANTRY SPRING FOOD DRIVE

Please help stop hunger in our community. The Jewish Family Service's Weinberg Food Pantry will begin their Passover/Easter food drive soon. Donations drop significantly in the springtime, straining the pantry's ability to feed the hungry at this time of year. All pantry clients have very low incomes, and food insecurity is a major concern in their lives.

As you begin cleaning for Passover and Spring, please remember JFS. All non-perishable food donations are welcome and encouraged. Please bring your donations to the JFS barrel that will be located at Kohelet in the hallway next to the sanctuary from March 23 to May 2. Last year, our small synagogue had one of the fullest bins of all churches and synagogues that participated. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Please contact Sharon Pincus with any questions at sharonrpincus@yahoo.com
