The International Superyacht Society has assembled a panel of experts on the subject of the hottest new destination in the world of yachting: Cuba!
The 30-45 minute session will include an intense presentation on yachting to, from and around Cuba, the legal aspects and permitting requirements; how the yachting world can participate in good environmental stewardship of the island nation and commercial opportunities that are available now. Simons Chase is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Cuba Journal, an English language digital magazine about Cuba. Michael T. Moore is the Chairman of the Board of The International Seakeepers Society. He is also the Founder and Senior Partner of Moore & Company, a law firm specializing in Marine, Aviation and Art law.
Scott Wagner is the Vice Chair of the Admiralty Law Committee for the Florida Bar and has dedicated a portion of his practice to navigating the regulatory requirements, pitfalls, and obligations of transiting people and cargo between the U.S. and Cuba by vessel. Gerald Berton is a well noted and highly experienced Yacht industry figure, and entrepreneur and a businessman who has been selling agricultural products to Cuba since 2008 and is well familiar with USA and Cuban regulations and activities.
